Fall Color in IR

This is from Banning State Park which has turned into being one of my favorite State Parks in Minnesota and it's so centrally located off the I-35 between Minneapolis and Duluth. My goal on this day was to get to Wolf Creek Falls, but of course there was an over abundant amount of fall color all over!

I shot the majority of the fall color on my trip in color of course as the point of fall color is that they are so cool! But I thought it would be cool to capture some of the locations in Infrared to give a little twist to the normal palette.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

PS. Be sure to visit our Infrared Section as we have lot's of great photographers using IR here on FocalWorld.

Interesting take on this scene. The only clues for fall with this palette are the dry leaves on the ground that haven't been compressed yet.

Thanks Alan. That's an interesting catch. For me the variation in the colors of the clouds, the blue to the purple change gives me a fall color vibe. But you are right, the fallen leaves would be a clue to. But my eye didn't go there. I wonder what others think.

with all of those white hures, it looks like it might be a bit past peak in IR. the IR definitely makes this an interesting shot.
