East River into Crested Butte

On a drive from Crested Butte to Gothic we stopped to view the East River as it meanders down the valley toward Crested Butte on it's was to empty into the Gunnison River. We really enjoyed some nice clouds between light rain showers.

I like the meandering river along the valley bottom - it makes a nice leading line up into the scene and to the mountains beyond. Neat clouds.

It's really cool how it just so meanders back and forth as it does. I have seen it many times, but not sure I have photographed it before.
