Dusk over Mesquite Dunes

Beautiful light and those lines are great, not sure about the whole vignetting thing, the drop in the sand a bit distracting.

Cheers!

The cleft in the sand dune is curious but it does add a nice diagonal to the comp that brings the eye up to the remains of the sunlight. Nice one Vieri.

Hi Vieri,

Now that's a cool composition of the dunes! I like this angle and you have some nice lines from the sand and sky to pull the eye in.

The dunes are like a living organism, always moving and changing. One just never knows what they can find. The first challenge is finding an area in the dunes where there isn't foot prints. Heading to the eastern side of it helps, but still not guaranteed. And once the foot print free dunes are found, it's all about finding shapes that are conducive to being photographed.

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it! :) Vignette is a bit like long exposed clouds or water... everyone has their own ideas about it, and I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one :)

Thank you very much Alan, yes that cleft was what caught my eye - I agree with Jim, dunes are like a living organism, you can always find something new there! :)

Hi Jim,

Thank you very much for your comment, glad you enjoyed the composition! :) Yes, dunes are like a living organism and a difficult one to tame ;) but, when you can, they give you back some extremely inspiring locations and images!

Love the soft mood here, and the different angles and planes.
Thank you very much Barry, glad you enjoyed it! :)

Best regards,

Vieri
