Crab Apple Blooms

We have a large crabapple tree in our back yard and each April we are presented with a large crop of these blooms.

Love those blooms! I recall eating crab apples when I was a kid in Minnesota. They will certainly make some people to become crabby when eating them. As a kid though I loved the sour taste of them.

The squirrels get most the harvest every year which we don't mind since the fruit is pretty sour!

I also ate crab apples as a kid and thought they were pretty sour, but that did not stop me from eating them!
