Columbia River Wetlands Sunset

We had a really nice day last weekend for both sunrise and sunset which was a nice change of pace after lots of gray skies. This is a telephoto panorama of the wetlands along the Columbia River as seen from over my house in the NW part of the Vancouver area. The nearest water body in the scene is the Columbia which is roughly 3/4 mile across in this location and the more distant water is Sturgeon Lake on Suave Island. The distant foothills are on the Oregon side of the river roughly 6 miles away from my house.

This is a 2 shot panorama shot at 166mm.

Thanks Jameel - not sure I would have even taken the shot if it weren’t for the water reflections. The sky was nice but not enough to carry the scene by itself.

Thanks Jim - a scene the Mavic 3 Pro was made for: 390' above the ground with just the right sun angle for the color reflections coupled with the 166mm lens. The wider lenses/sensors just didn't bring in the vibe this version had.
