Very pretty scene. Looks like you are adding to your collection of streams.
How cool is this? That’s a great area and would look good with fall colors.
Thanks - I will be visiting and revisiting this site as fall colors progress. The fires that started Labor Day weekend up here obliterated my fall travel plans and am searching through my archives for alternative places to shoot. What hasn't been impacted by Covid-19 closures is now off limits from the fires.
I was thinking about Silver Falls State Park and Sweet Creek as my primary targets but the
Beachie Creek Fire has likely put Silver Falls out of reach until the winter rains arrive. The fire near Sweet Creek has closed Sweet Creek Rd. due to unstable cliffs along the roadway so it may not be accessible this fall either. There is an alternate path that goes through the Siuslaw NF from US101 but most of that consists of unpaved forest roads that might get "interesting" when the fall rains get more serious.
There is a fire up in the Gifford Pinchot Forest called the
Big Hollow Fire that has closed off most of the forest. This fire has now encroached on the Trapper Creek Wilderness area in the south, Siouxon Creek in the north and is just across the road from the trailhead for Falls Creek. All of the Mt. Hood Forest area is closed due to the fires on that side of the Columbia.
