Not great for Milky Way. There is good exposure towards the SE, but the town of Biggs Junction just across the river lights up like a mini Vegas. Shooting north sees flashing red lights atop the wind turbines. It was much better 20 years ago, but so was everything else. That's super cool. I had forgotten about that. I like the use of the ND filter.
How would that work for the Milky Way?
Thanks Alan. I had to wait around an hour for those clouds to appear. So I had plenty of time to walk around looking for rattlesnakes. None this time, but every 10 minutes or so another car would pull in. Most visits were around 5 minutes per vehicle. Snap a great few phone photos and then be on their way. I have to admit it is very cool place for photos!I like the long exposure with the clouds racing past. Nice PoV for this effect. Calm winds in that area are pretty rare. That's why there are so many wind turbines on the hilltops around there.
