Love it Jeffrey, it's great to see something different.
And I know your feeling about getting bored with the Eastern Sierra fall colors. When Bishop has a map with the 9 or so locations listed on it of aspens, and that's it. One can only shoot those 9 areas so many times before it's time for a change.
That hit me about 12 years ago, that's when I changed and went to Colorado for Fall Colors every year. It was a lot better, but after a few years it was still kind of the same with the same places being where people went. And more than that, with the main color being gold, I was getting tired after 20 some years of gold fall colors. So that's when I switched to the Upper Midwest about 5 years ago. It's cool as I was born and raised in Minnesota, so it's neat to go back there each fall, and then also hit up Wisconsin and Michigan. And while there are iconic places in each state that everyone goes, it's so much more wide open as basically each state, the whole state turns color for the fall. This year was a bit of down year up there for fall color, but it's so cool to typically see fall color no matter what road you take, and there are thousands of barns and old buildings, there are tens of thousands of lakes, hundreds of waterfalls, all to pair up with fall colors. I have yet to find it boring back there.
