I'm a little late to the party but after a gentle nudge from @JimFox, I got my act together. Like all of you, narrowing down to a top 10 is hard. But I've managed to pull together a rather eclectic set of images which matches my eclectic shooting. Happy New Year everyone!

#1 - The northern lights made it all the way south to the Twin Cities this year. So insteady of driving 4 hours north, I just had to walk out the back door!

#2 - A july sunset on the lake. Little did I know that I was about to make a change and decide to move. So images like this will be cherished.

#3 - We traveled to Europe this year with friends and went on a bike tour through Provence in France. At the end, we spent a couple of days in Paris. This shot of the Louvre was taken the night before the big heist (no, we were not scouting out the location for the thieves!).

#4 - Double rainbow out my back door!

#5 - I photographed a number of political rallies this year including No Kings Day at the Minnesota State Capital. This was by far my favorite.

#6 - One of my goals this spring and summer was to capture lightning over the lake. I had a few opportunities and captured this one.

#7 - During our European Vacation we spent a couple of days in Barcelona. The Sagrada Familia below, reminds me of Oz.

#8 - I love the lake and I love sunsets. In this one, the sunset colors lit up a crack in the ice.

#9 - Time spent with family and our grandkids was special. Here, we visited the local arboretum for a holiday light show.

#10 - Last but certainly not least, I went backpacking with my son and daughter for 5 days in the Cascades. Such a special trip for all of us as we seldom get the opportunity to spend this kind of quality time together.

You had a fantastic year Bob - and some amazing imagery to remember it with. You sunset scene at your previous home in #2 is jaw dropping for the vivid colors. I love the kaleidoscope like scene at Sagrada Familia in #7 - nice job framing that shot. #8 with the frozen lake is another one that keeps me looking. No bad ones in the collection.

Glad to see you post this Bob! You had such a great year, with so much variety.

My favorites (I think) are #2, 7, 9 and 1 in that order.

Yeah. Your place on the lake will be missed. I am sorry I only got to visit it once.

A really strong set of images here! My favs are #1, #2, #5. #8, and #10

#1 - A spectacular aurora image, great colors and framing.

#2 - A very unique sunset shot - I can see why it is very special!

#5 - I almost never take images with people in them - but I can appreciate this image - really tells the story.

#8 - Lovely light, and as mentioned that lit up crack in the ice really creates a unique and beautiful leading line. I am guessing this is a drone shot? I think my favorite form the set...

#10 - the best way to remember a truly special experience is with a picture, IMHO. This one you will no doubt treasure for years to come.

Thanks Mike and yes, #8 is indeed a drone shot.

Bob, you live in an enviable location, right next to a huge body of water, what a blessing to have all those changing sky & clouds, I love the series.
