Beach scene

It's from a local beach , when I first took the shot B&W was not even a thought. But the shadows sold it for me.

I like the comp here. You have some interesting lines with these shadows and the B&W worked well.

That is very cool Joe! Yeah, those shadows from the ripples in the sand really looking interesting in B&W. With the way you have the sun in this, I would suggest cropping off the bits of clouds off the top. Vapor trails for one always seem distracting to me, but also since you have the sun staring us in the face there, by cropping just above it and losing those clouds transforms the shot into it's most base elements. Try it and see I think you will like it.

Nice b&w and indeed great use of lines. I'm more partial to your original crop here. The clouds up high are nice counter points to the beach and surf.
