Another Natural Bridges Sunrise

You did a nice job on this Kyle. Very tasty reflective colors and that's one of my favorite things to shoot. I like this shutter speed for these wave conditions - it smooths the wave action just enough to put the focus on the arch.

This is really nice Kyle. What were your focus targets and why did you need to focus stack?
I focused one shot on the foreground rock and the other on the arch. This was at 88mm and f/8, so I didn't have the DOF to cover both (and it shows in the files). I didn't want to stop down because I liked my shutter speed and I'll generally choose focus stacking over raising my ISO - and this was already at 200.

Lovely! Exposure, colors, and I like the framing detail that has the far headland coming down to the sea right inside the arch opening - no doubt not accidental. And the sand reflections are excellent too.

I am the odd voice out on the shutter speed water treatment possibly though, as I would love to have seen something that froze the water motion at least a little bit more, to compare to this result. All other things being equal I might have liked it more. I suppose not really doable though with a 2 image blend for focus stacking purposes.

A magnificent result in any case, just like it is.

Lovely image Kyle great sunset colours without looking radioactive. The tiniest nit-pick it looks as though you have a tiny bright halo on the left of the sea stack with the hills behind, it could be a compression artifact though. Ken

Nice eye Ken. I didn't blend anything there but I agree there's a visible halo. I can take that out.
