Wow Michael!

I was just out at Joshua Tree a few days ago and noticed a lot of flowers were blooming there that I wouldn't have expected. Your display here is even better then what I saw. 3 great images. It's hard to pick favorites, but I think I would choose #2 as my favorite with #1 being right behind it in an almost photo finish! :)

Pretty amazing. Last time I stopped by at that park during an early April trip there weren't anywhere near that many blooms. The looks downright lush!
Thank you. It might have something to do with Hurricane Hilary and the following thunderstorms in that area a few weeks back. I certainly noticed washes with fresh signs of flowing water.

How much road damage did you end up with from Hilary?
I don't know about Nevada roads, but the highway through Death Valley NP, as well as the park itself, are still closed. The highway was completely washed away in several places, including the same spots that got washed away during the same time a year ago. Officials are aiming for a partial reopening around October 15.
