One from a long time ago in a land far far away. :)
This is White Sands New Mexico. While I focused a lot on shots with minimal elements and just focusing on the white sand dunes, I found this one interesting because of just how crowded it was with plant life.

One of the amazing things about White Sands is that the white sand reflects the color in the sky that when processing the photos you actually have to process the sand separately if you want to keep that white feel. Otherwise the white sand can become blue, yellow, orange, purple, etc based on...

A recent image from White Sands here in NM.
Had a great couple of days in the hit monsoon weather. This storm just before sunset really cranked out the electrons. Did a blend of three exposures on this to capture the 4 bolts. All taken within 5 minutes on location.

Again from Dec '08, my first visit to White Sands, with Jim Fox and Allen Maestas.
Three compositions on the same dune, mid-morning light, looking southerly, so the high contrast made black and white a natural choice, I thought.
