I made my annual trek to try my luck at sunrise in my local park, in an area known as "Little Yosemite" with some nice rocks and small waterfalls. I think I've found my favorite composition of this scene so far, but the predicted sunrise color never appeared. The park is really pretty right now...

Here's another image from the Sunol Regional Wilderness. I really liked the highlights on the rolling hills. I have actually toned down the greens in this. Any thoughts are welcome.

I took this last year when the hills in Northern California were at "peak green" after finally getting some rain. A good sunset was forecast so I left work early to hike up the hill to my favorite viewpoint. You can just make out San Francisco in the distance. Any thoughts are welcome.

Likely my last photo of 2017... I went out this morning to catch sunrise over the East Bay hills in the Sunol Regional Wilderness. I scoped out this spot on a hike yesterday and guessed it could work well in the morning. Any thoughts are welcome. Happy New Year!
