Taken at the top of a fantastic ski run I did yesterday in the central Cascades. This poor tree has been beaten down by some avalanches.

I started off trying to shoot some video flying along the creek into the sun, but got too much glare, so I went up for a look down.

My shadow at the top of one of my favorite backcountry ski runs near Stevens Pass, WA. This was a perfect crisp day with no wind and good snow. A couple runs down pristine slopes like this makes a backcountry day so much more aesthetically enjoyable than fighting for powder at a ski area. Hoping...
