sentinel dome

Here's an image from the top of Sentinel Done in Yosemite at sunset. The view toward Half Dome was great, but I wanted to take advantage of these colors to the West, so I composed around this tree. Any thoughts are welcome.

I shot this during the spring a few years ago - still the most memorable sunset I've had in Yosemite. The forecast was for clear skies and my intention was to do some astrophotography. I wasn't the least bit disappointed to be greeted by great clouds and a wonderful sunset. Everyone else bailed...

I took this in the spring a few years ago. The forecast was actually for clear skies and my intention was to do some astrophotography. I had no problem changing my plans, though, when I got some beautiful clouds at sunset. Everyone else had given up and I had Sentinel Dome to myself.
