We took advantage of the only government shutdown benefit I can think of - the forest service didn't have the $ to shut down the road to Mt. Pilchuck yet so we managed to drive all the way to the trailhead parking lot for a rare easy winter climb. Due to recent rain then freeze cycles the snow...

There is just nothing like a misty foggy morning at Mt Rainier. This is in the Paradise area which was full of wildflowers. All comments are welcome, Jim
