Another drone view of Cape Kiwanda, this time looking down into what I call the bowl where I shot (on foot) later that evening.

I was excited to fly my drone at Cape Kiwanda, but it was so windy at sunset I chickened out and shot from the ground. These were late morning shots, still windy but not so gusty. If you click through to the gallery view in the first picture you can spot my wife and I standing by the fence on...

Cape Kiwanda is my favorite spot on the Oregon Coast . The sandstone formation doesn't look special from the beach - you have to hike up onto it to find the cool stuff. We spent a couple days here, these are from our first night. I was lucky to have it to myself on this mid-week evening.

My wife and I were at first a bit disappointed that our last full day of a week long vacation in Oregon was a stormy. We ended up having one of our nicest walks on this beach just south of Cannon. A bit of rain made it a fast and exciting return, but didn't result in an actual soaking. Of course...

I got my drone up today for some views of my favorite spot on the OR coast. More to come.

I was lucky to have the beach to myself for a while at sunset a few years ago.

I don't do high key much, but this foggy day lent itself to it, especially in B&W.

I got a chance to stop by at this beach for sunset last Friday, it wasn't a great sunset that evening-but this place is too good for any conditions!, tried different shots there and this is a long exposure I tried with 10 stop ND.

Taken on the drive to and on the Hoapili trail hike. We lucked out with some clouds, both for photos, and mitigating the sun.

One of my good friends, Dianne Hofbeck, became a serious painter when she retired. We've worked out a deal where she brings all her finished paintings to me to photograph then print a 13x19" for her portfolio before she sells it or takes it to a gallery. In turn I get credit toward another...

One of my favorite easy access beaches in Olympic National Park, just far enough of a walk to not normally be over crowded. These 3 girls were the last people I saw that day, glad they walked through. I quite enjoyed being the last one though and made my way back to the car by headlamp.
