Tropicana Islands is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed in my back yard. This is the surface of a colorful mushroom. In my mind’s eye, the colors reminded me of orange juice, as if there were land areas surrounded by it.
Light filtering through mushroom gills viewed from the underside. Taken in October, 2014 at Woodhaven Swamp near Vancouver, Canada.

Sunbeams is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. The subject was extremely delicate. I tried to brush a different one off with my makeup brush and the whole thing collapsed like it was made of paper.
