    Dawn at Vik Beach

    Taken at about 3:30am looking away from the rising sun. What caught my eye was the way the sand reflected the morning light when the waves receded back to the ocean. The contrast was interesting and the thought of a black and white landscape immediately came to mind.

    Vestrahorn in Mono

    This image is a nearly 3.5 minute exposure using a 15-stop ND plus a 2 stop grad. I envisioned this image in monochrome from the start but the color version is not too shabby either.
