McWay Falls along the Big Sur coast is a very cool place! Fun to photograph, and quite popular. For some reason the trail was fenced off short of the main viewing area. So while not ideal, I have photographed it before from this fenced off area as it's a good area to be able to catch it all...

So on my recent business trip I managed a weekend of photography in CA, sandwiched between work on either side. I got some great info from Jim and Kyle that helped with my scouting. I ended up driving the Pacific Coast Highway the first day and got down to McWay Falls at the end of the sunlight...

Sometimes sticking around after sunset is a nice thing... As the skies got darker the crowds thinned out and the colors got richer. So I kept shooting. This is McWay Cove in Big Sur about half an hour after the sun set. Any thoughts are welcome.
