I spent some time at the lower terraces when I stopped by Yellowstone in September. I liked this view with the steam catching the light from the morning sun. Any thoughts are welcome.
I guess I could have used this on Friday's Focus, but I just finished it up. This is from Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone this past summer and was at sunset, or just prior and it had that nice golden coloring bouncing around all over.

Here is one from last year up in the Eastern Sierra up above Rock Creek off of Hwy 395 in California. It's really great to be able to capture the wildflowers blooming like this next to the creek.

At Mammoth Hot Creek the photos of it are predominantly from sunrise since the mountains face the east and can get that sunrise glow and show all that cool mountain detail in higher contrast. But in this case we shot opposite normal wisdom since we had hoped to also get some star shots there...

Here's a pre-dawn look at hot creek, from a viewpoint near Mammoth in the Eastern Sierra. I didn't expect it to help, but my polarizer actually brought out some detail in the sky.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
