    Little Treasures...

I haven't seen Glacier Lillies often maybe only once after seeing theses this weekend. I love capturing files of flowers but I also love capturing these little moments. CC Welcome!

    Scribbles

Scribbles is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. I’m not really sure what this thing is, but it kind of looked like some type of interesting cabbage. Since I wanted to even out the light (i.e., bring down the highlights and...

    Ribbon

Ribbon is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Yonce Farm in Ridge Spring, SC. In my mind’s eye, the curl of the stamen reminded me of how a ribbon on a present is sometimes formed into a coil to add a touch of artistic flair and a little extra love while wrapping it.

    Petals

Petals is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Yonce Farm in Ridge Spring, SC. I placed the left side petal in the frame so that the edge of it weaves its way up diagonally and then used the edge as my focal point.

    Weed Star

Weed Star is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. The design of the leaves on the head was simply irresistible.

    Flame Spike

Flame Spike is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. This is another one that was only possible thanks to my Frankenstein lens as it is very close to 3X magnification. To amplify the brightness of the subject, I used an angle...

    Stormy

Stormy is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. I used my Frankenstein lens for this and it is pretty close to 3X magnification. This is coneflower, and it required a full 10 seconds of shutter time (which is an enormous...

    Slithering Purple

Slithering Purple is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. I believe this is iris.

    Dandy

Dandy is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. Not sure how many of you have ever tried the trick I used on this one, but if not, it might be something you'll keep in your back pocket. If you use a plamp to hold your subjects...
