ICON ALERT!
OK, it is time to let lose with some of your shots from iconic viewpoints. Even better if you've managed to incorporate a twist into the classic shot. Here are a few to get started:
1) Yosemite's Tunnel View
2) Horseshoe Bend
3) McWay Falls in Big Sur
Hi everyone, with the new year it seems like a good time to "reflect". So pile on with some of your favorite reflection images! Here are a few to get started.
1) Along the road in Iceland
2) Mono Lake
3) And a city reflection (Shenzhen, China)
Hi Everyone - the focus for this week is images from states (or other regions for people outside the US) that border your state. So it is kind of like travelling, but only a little way :)
So since California is bordered by Nevada, Arizona and Oregon, here's an image from each to get us...
Our last focus was travel so this week's focus is home! Time to share some images around the area where you live!
Here are a few to get started from my home in the East Bay in Northern California.
Sunol Regional Wilderness
Pleasanton Ridge
Well, since tomorrow is Halloween I figured that something spooky would be in order. The image itself could be spooky or something about the experience taking it could have been. I'll start with one of each...
1) The image isn't spooky, but while hiking down the trail in the dark I saw two eyes...
Sorry for the late start - I needed some inspiration. After seeing Ben's recent series I decided today's focus will be "flowing water with fall colors" or Fall Falls. Here are a couple to get started:
Archangel Falls in Zion
Burney Falls
The focus for this week is Frozen - share some images that feature frozen water (or something else if you must :) ).
I'll lead off with the image that gave me the idea. I have my desktop wallpaper rotating through images and this one appeared this morning. It was captured during a January...
Our focus this week is "the arch". I'm not necessarily looking for images from the park (although those work), but am instead looking for images of arches themselves. Here are a few from my collection:
1) Stornetta Arch (from the spot where you can see through two arches in a line)
2) Eye of...
With so many fires and other dried up end of summer landscapes, I'm thirsting for something green - so please help me out!
I'll start it off with some Spirit Falls...
The focus for this week is Antelope Canyon. Please go ahead and share some of your sandstone beauties! I'll expect to see many similar compositions but I always enjoy seeing different takes on the same scene. Here are a few to get us started:
1) Upper Antelope
2) The Candlestick in Upper...
For this Friday we are looking at trails through the landscape - and if you don't have that you share an image taken from a trail. If you can remember it, please include the trail name with your image(s) just in case someone else wants to check it out.
I'll start things off with an image I...
I mentioned I'd get specific with some icons once in a while, so this week's focus is that iconic rock in Yosemite: Half Dome. Let's see what you have!
Here is one from the valley:
And here is one from Glacier Point
I was scrolling through the forum this morning wondering what the focus was for this Friday, and I then remembered that I'm the one that's supposed to decide that! So here it is: the focus for this Friday is grass - could be green grass, grass lands, grain fields, etc.
I'll start us off with...
Today's Focus will be Fall Colors as a few people lately, (and I am not naming names) though one of the names could be Doug, have been posting some fall color photos and have been starting to get me inspired for that time of year when the weather turns crisp and leaves turn gold, orange and red...
Today's Friday's Focus is on Roads that are in our Landscape images.
I was inspired by Craigs (ckcarr) recent thread with super cool road shots in his Landscape photos. So as I was digging in my archives, I thought it might make for a good focus for everyone to dig their road shots out, or be...
This Friday’s Focus is Reflections!
This is a Community thread, so please add your own Reflection photo to this thread.
Here is mine in honor of being currently in Yosemite I thought I would post a reflection from Yosemite from a few years back.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
