elephant seals

I was up the coast in California yesterday and stopped by the Elephant Seal Refuge just north of San Simeon for a little while to shoot. It's amazing that for as much as the seals just lay there not moving for hours on end it seems, there actually is quite a bit of activity. So here it looks...

There were so many cool looking seals there at Piedras Blancas in lower Big Sur. The Elephant Seals are all over this one area with lot's of interaction between them. If you are ever in Santa Barbara or that area be sure to check it out. All comments are welcome, Jim

Last weekend on my birthday run up to Pismo Beach for world famous Clam Chowder I ended up going up to test out the new Tamron 150-600mm G2 at the Elephant Seal gathering at Piedras Blancas just north of San Simeon which is at the bottom end of Big Sur in California. The light was getting low...
