I took this on a crazy day telemark skiing in 1980 in very icy conditions near Chamonix France. I visited for Christmas skiing but snow conditions were terrible. I took a bad fall when I was on a cat track back at the ski area and broke a finger.

I lived in Germany for ~8 years in the 80s teaching for the Department of Defense Schools. Most of those summers were spent climbing in the Alps, with a lot of the time around Chamonix France. Descent off The Triolet On The Walker Spur, Grand Jorasse Climbing the North Face of Les Courtes...
