    A Touch of Winter...

While we enjoy the onset of spring and all that it brings with it, we still have reminders that winter wasn't so long ago. These reminders make me appreciate the warm seasons that much more.

    Corner Hangout

I was traveling down a dirt road with not a whole lot to look at on either side. As I approached a "intersection" there were about 50 black birds having a block party up on the powerline.

Down the Road From Factory Butte

It is amazing the mood changer IR/BNW can have on an image.

    Dallas Divide Ranch

I just liked the cloud structure above the entrance and that grouping of trees way off in the distance.

    Spending Time with the Past

Historic Saint Andrew Baptist Church / Cemetery in St. Francisville Louisiana Enjoyed a delightful evening and morning shooting in this very old cemetery (by American standards). The craftmanship of many of the head stones was unbelievable. EOS-R / Full Spectrum conversion (various lenses and...

    Grand Mesa Pano

9 shot pano stitched together. It's a crazy long pano, but I personally love the way it came out. This is a shot of the Grand Mesa, the west end.

    My Work Is Done

I've been eyeing this truck for a while, but wish I had shot it before the tree limb fell. 590nm Color & BNW versions:

    TP

Learning experience for 3-28-2021: a standard ND Filter does not work on a Full Spectrum camera with a infrared drop in filter. But it did make a nice "high key" black and white. This was taken with a Edge 50 Lensbaby lens. Note: They do make IRND Filters

    Waiting for the Thaw

This old house gets hammered all winter with harsh weather, I image it rejoices in the green of spring....I know I do.

    Empty

Monte Vista Sand Hill Crane Migration 2020, just no cranes at this location. They are usually pack at this spot, must of been a Covid thing.

    Isolation

I have had this composition in my mind for some time now, but had never come across something that worked out as planned. Finally last fall I found this one that comes very close to what I had in mind, it's not perfect yet....a work in progress, maybe this year.

    New Friends

I stopped her to get a couple of snaps of Sand Hill Cranes playing in the reeds. But these 3 very young horses came running down the hill to meet me, thanks to their overwhelming need for my attention I didn't get any good shots of the Cranes. I took this just as I was leaving, this young man...

    Puff Balls

(sorry couldn't come up with a better title) I was out shooting macro shots when I stumble upon this darling little bush. I have seen photographs by other people of this same plant, but I had never seen one in person until this last fall. Look forward to revisiting it again next year. Visible...
