Good morning - if its Wednesday it must be time for more waterfalls.

This set of falls is in the forest in between Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams along a creek I wish I had known the name of before I went down the trail to shoot the falls - Mosquito Creek. This was shot in early summer so many of the roads in the area were still snow covered which meant very few humans for the indigenous skin divers to feed on. The resulting swarms made my visit a short one.

Pile on with your own falling water images.

Thanks again Alan, and this is a very nice image.

Here is my butt slide image from Monday. I hope it was worth the effort.

That's a light flow compared to most springs. Drop me a note next time you are in the neighborhood - Panther Creek falls is an hour and a half from my house.

Not a recent image... Sitting at work in Sunnyvale today. Alan I'll definitely hit you up the next time I'm in the area. My family is from Oregon so it isn't uncommon.

Ahh this makes more sense - normally this time of year the waterfalls in the Gifford Pinchot are torrents from the snowmelt and the roads are not all open yet. Langfield Falls (the ones I posted) is only about 6 miles up the road from Panther Creek falls but that road isn't open yet according to the forest service web site.

Hey Bob, these are great! That rainbow is really cool, but both shots are great. It's shots like these that are really making me want to get to Iceland! I might have to hit you up for some tips and suggestions before I do ever go, at this point it would have to be next year sometime.

As usual, great images today. I’m late to the party (traveling), but here’s an old favorite...

You must have used a telephoto for this close up or did you climb down to this vantage point?
    Great shot!

Thanks! This was taken from Red Rock Point (a climb down) and I don’t recall the camera data. I’m traveling right now but I can look at the exif data late tomorrow. Only an iPhone and iPad with me.
