Just down from Kodachrome basin & Grosvenor Arch is Round Valley Draw. There are 2 short semi-technical sections (chimney technique both down and up), no rope needed except for the dog. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Camera packs & tripods are a pain in the chimneys unless the pack can be worn in front. I don't remember what I did with the tripod but it was kind of a hassle/in the way. I probably up/down climbed a bit, to the extent of my reach, then grabbed it & lowered it or tipped it up over the edge when it was just me & the dog & undoubtedly asked my husband for help with it when I went back. There's a shot of him where the canyon opens up in the thread Jim Dockery started about people in the landscape.
I just saw I forgot to add one photo of the 1st obstacle. Entry-to-Round-Valley-Draw-copy.jpg

Interesting looking place with some rather different colors from most of the slot canyons. Is this also known as the Cottonwood Narrows or is that farther south than this?

How interesting Monika! It does sound like a bit of pain to get into but sure looks very cool. #2 is probably my favorite, that leaning log is cool.

Looks like an interesting (and challenging) place to get into. Very different colors compared to other slot canyons for sure.

Different place. This is about 6.7 miles south of the start of Cottonwood Canyon /Kodachrome Basin junction. Grosvenor Arch is 2.8 miles further. Cottonwood Narrows further south.

Monika, great job maneuvering through this tough slot -- a little daring-do is good for photographers; chewing on dirt is good for the spirit. And makes for a good night's sleep. It's fun to visit the out of the way places, and Cottonwood has a plethora of them. Thanks for the visit.

Hey Monika, that’s a nice additional shot you added that shows off the chimney technique rather well. Thanks for adding that.
