That is not the view I am used to seeing for that site but that's what makes IR so neat. A very unique take.

Very nice perspective. I have noticed that in all of your IR images some of the whites are blown out a bit. Is there something you can do to prevent that or is that just a byproduct of IR?

Hey Craig, it must be nice to have fall colors 365 days a year! :)

This is very cool, I finally made it to Mount Rushmore myself for the first time last year.

Hi Doug, Thanks !!! It's not so much all IR's but so many of the Shots trying to handle the Lighting at the given time
creates more chances to blow out the Clouds or highlights sometimes. When we were visiting here the it was a very cloudy
over cast day, and the Clouds just started lifting at the end of our time there. To try and keep the exposure on the Faces and
Rocks, I'm sure what was metered and was actually pleased to have at least a little details in the clouds in some places.

    Take Care,

    Craig

Hi Jim, Thanks !!! ;-) Yes, with IR especially the 590nm Wavelength working the foliage really
can create all types of moods, and looks.

A lot of IR shooters are now trying to emulate the old Aerochrome IR Film look with the deep saturated Reds in the Foliage
have to say some of it's pretty stunning.

    Take Care,

    Craig

Even without the IR it's a unique view of this icon. The IR really takes it over the top.
