Alan, shooting abstracts of the lava is my favorite. The molten stone textures are amazing!
Jim, definitely do it! I had vaguely remembered that I really liked the heli rides, but getting back up there was just as amazing as the first time!So cool, I am going for #1 as my favorite, I like how the flow is kind of splitting.
What an awesome experience this had to have been. This is something I have always wanted to do.
Darcy, you're much more articulate than I was at the time -- I couldn't get much beyond, "wow!"Wow Part 1, 2 & 3 of your lava are all amazing. I am loving the third shot in this one. The dragon in the center with the good old gnome at the left of the top of the glowing lava watching over him & the little evil rock monster down below. Very very cool! (No I have not been smoking the wacky tobacky LOL)
Jim, it takes me about a month after a trip like this to do more than basic editing. (My eyes are all buggy for a while after) I'd love to see what you would do with them. You saved the best for last! #3 is my fav. - look almost like a Yin/Yang (hot/cold?). If these were mine I'd be trying out a lot of different processing tricks - I like the contrast on the last one.
Kyle, stay tuned -- at least 1 more heli ride coming! And maybe more from this one (it's just hard to select them right away)Absolutely amazing! This is my favorite set you posted. The shapes and textures (not to mention the colors) could keep me looking for a long time.
